Microsoft previews Window 7

A pre-beta version of Windows 7 was demonstrated to Developers by Microsoft this week.

In general, the impressions were favorable, and it looks like Windows 7 may be released by the end of 2009. All Vista drivers will also work in Windows 7, so there will be no driver issues this time. The system has been slightly slimmed down and - according to some, already feels more responsive than Vista.
