New “ransomware” hits the internet

PC World reports that there has been a step-up in the distribution of more sophisticated ransomware, which can close down all operations on your PC unless cleaned up immediately.

The attack itself takes the form of a spam e-mail with an attachment, report.zip, which if clicked automatically downloads a rogue antivirus product called Security Tool.
