Apple: “There’s an iPad for that!”
Apple finally announced their tablet yesterday after months of speculation. A lot of people are underwhelmed.
Let us see first of all what it is:
- It is a touch-sensitive 9.7” tablet running at 1024x768 resolution.
- It is a book and media reader.
- It mostly runs the iPhone / iPod Touch apps.
- It includes Wi-Fi. A more expensive version will allow you to hook up with the AT&T network like the iPhone.
What it does not have:
- Still no support for Flash.
- No multitasking.
- No USB.
- No SD card slot.
- In fact, no camera at all.
- Does not run Mac OS X.
- A user-changeable battery.
- A CD drive.
